Worship Style
The style of our worship at All Saints lies broadly within the liberal Catholic tradition of the Church of England.
Eucharistic Worship
The Eucharist (also known as Holy Communion or Mass) has always been the central act of worship of the Christian Church, and our life as a parish is centered around our offering of the Eucharist each Sunday morning.
Eucharistic worship is also offered every Wednesday morning at 9:30, and on weekday mornings during the major festivals of the Christian year.
Choral Evensong
Prayer Book Evensong at 6.30 pm. on Sundays is well supported by our own robed choir, with a congregation that is slowly growing in numbers.
On the first Sunday of each month we welcome members of other Choirs from around the Elloe Deaneries for a joint service at which a homily is also preached.
Praise Services
Occasional informal praise services, based around drums and keyboard, are led by our all age music group. If you can play an instrument to at least Grade 3, and would like to join this lively and growing band, contact Gill Graper.
Other Services
There is a monthly Service of Healing and Wholeness, and a monthly Pram Service, as well as a range of occasional services – e,g an annual Memorial Service, and a Crib Service on Christmas Eve.
The daily prayer of the Church is maintained with Morning and Evening Prayer being said each weekday.
Holy Week
We place a great emphasis on the worship of Holy Week and Easter. To learn more about our Easter worship, including a schedule of Easter services for 2012, click here.
