The style of our worship at All Saints lies broadly within the liberal Catholic tradition of the Church of England.

Eucharistic Worship
The Eucharist (also known as Holy Communion or Mass) has always been the central act of worship of the Christian Church, and our life as a parish is centered around our Sunday morning Eucharist at 10.30 am.

On the first Sunday of the month we also have a said Holy Communion service according to the Book of Common Prayer at 8.00 am.

We also have a said Eucharist every Wednesday morning at 9.30 am.

All-Age Worship

Following an extensive review in September 2013 the PCC agreed that our service on the first Sunday of the month will not include communion and will be an All-Age Worship service designed to appeal to all ages but with a specific focus on those with young families. The service lasts about 40-50 minutes and has 4 hymns which are accompanied by our Music Group. It usually involves an interactive All-Age talk or a dramatic presentation by some of our young people instead of a sermon and is based round the theme for the day. From time to time the children from our Oasis Club or other children and young people's groups associated with the church will take an active role in this service or prepare some drama to share with you.

Choral Evensong
Choral Evensong Evensong using the Book of Common Prayer is held on a Sunday evening at 6.30 pm. This service is open to anyone in the deanery who enjoys BCP evensong and is preceded by a choir practice at 5.30 pm. As we are the only church in the deanery offering evensong we invite members of other churches in the deanery to join us.

Be Still Services
On the fifth Sunday of the month try and offer something a bit different at the 6.30 pm slot. Be Still is a 40 minute quiet and reflective service using recorded music as well as hymns and plenty of silence. Occasionally this service will include communion. We may use material from the Iona Community, Lindisfarne or Taize for example.

Other Services
At particular times of the year there are special services:

Remembrance Sunday, our annual Memorial Service for the bereaved at All Souls tide, an Advent Carol Service, the Christingle Service, Carol Service and a Crib Service and Midnight mass on Christmas Eve for example.

Morning Prayer using Common Worship Daily Prayer is said in church at 8.30 am on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The services takes about 20 minutes and anyone is welcome.

We always look forward to welcoming the local community to our range of services during the Christmas period. To find out more click here (Christmas)
